Wilco’s Pat Sansone to Join Johnny Irion on Hopewell Theater Stage

Hopewell Theater proudly presents American folk rock favorite, Johnny Irion, who will be joined by Wilco’s Pat Sansone in a special acoustic show at 8:00 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 10. This concert brings together two of folk-rock’s acclaimed musicians for a one-night only performance.
Best known for his folk explorations with his wife Sarah Lee Guthrie, including their recent “Wassaic Way” produced by Jeff Tweedy, and his latest rock venture with US ELEVATOR, which Will Hermes of Rolling Stone Magazine praised for its “songs that are hand crafted as lovingly as the jeans on the back of After the Goldrush,” Irion has earned a reputation as one of the most exciting artists across the folk-rock spectrum, from his uncannily Young-Nilsson-esque voice to his melodic and lyrical mettle.
Sansone is the acclaimed multi-instrumentalist for Grammy-Award winning Wilco. With its worldwide following, Wilco has rightly been called one of the greatest American bands of all time. Sansone is a producer, musician, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, and band member of Wilco and The Autumn Defense. Pat’s music is a modern view of the infectious time of the tastiest singer-songwriter, AM-radio gems of the ’70s, including Harry Nilsson’s Nilsson Schmilsson and Lennon’s John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band.
