Hopewell Theater’s popular performance showcase returns tonight, December 14 at 7pm, with a curated local lineup of short performances by artists from the area.

Lucy Kaplansky is an acclaimed singer-songwriter of rare talent, “a truly gifted performer with a bag full of enchanting songs” (The New Yorker) and “the troubadour laureate of modern city folk” (The Boston Globe).
Over 40 years ago, back in October 1980, the town of Kendal (England) hosted a new, low-key, two-day event. Named the “Kendal Mountaineering Film Festival,” visitors experienced art, seminars, films, and photography. Little did they know what they had started, or how influential the event would become.
In 1974, a White House transcriber finds the only copy of the infamous 18½-minute gap in Nixon’s Watergate tapes, but her attempts to leak it to the press run afoul of hippies, swingers, and nefarious forces.
18½ is a thriller-comedy and historical fiction feature film with an award-winning run of twenty film festivals.
Stand-up comedy, ventriloquism, Broadway musical performance, stage play, live discussion, and other performing arts are taking our stage this fall.
