The Hopewell Theater will be expanding to include a new restaurant, according to Sara Scully of ScullyOne Productions and the theater’s co-founder.
The restaurant will be located at 7 West Broad St. in Hopewell, she said.
Scully, who opened the theater in 2017 and led its interior fit out renovation and branding startup phase, will oversee the business development and design of the restaurant. She will also oversee the hiring of a new executive director, who will report to her and business partner Mitchel Skolnick.
“This is an exciting opportunity to establish a creative destination for Hopewell,” Scully said. “An arts club for everyone, a place to meet friends, hang out and get inspired.”
The restaurant, which will enhance the theater’s dine-in concession menu as well as its supper and brunch clubs, will host value-added events related to theater programming, such as meet-the-artist VIP receptions, afternoon unplugged concerts, book signings and more.
Baxter Construction has begun renovations on the interior, Scully said. Kendra Thatcher has been retained as a project manager to aid the expansion.
