This week at Hopewell Theater, classic cinema abounds! Tonight, the sweeping epic LAWRENCE OF ARABIA is on our screen, a part of our Wayback Wednesday series which revisits some of the best of the best of repertory and cult cinema classics. On Thursday, Albert and David Maysles’ harrowing documentary GIMME SHELTER exploring the Rolling Stones’ 1969 tour, with much of the focus on the tragic concert at Altamont. The film is a part of HT’s Films That Made Music, a series of rock documentaries about some of the most legendary pop, rock and R&B groups of our time. This Saturday bring the kids to see beloved films THE RED BALLOON and WHITE MANE. Children will get their own red balloons to have adventures with after the films. Also opening this week, experience the life and work of fashion designer Roy Halston Frowick in the documentary HALSTON. Trailers, showtimes and tickets are located here.
