This week at Hopewell Theater has a packed schedule. We begin tonight and again on Saturday with Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew on the big screen, in which an alternate history 1500’s England is a matriarchy. On Thursday we’re having a sensory-friendly Crybaby Matinee of The Phantom Tollbooth, and in the evening UN War Crimes Lawyer turned comedian Jess Salomon, her wife Eman El-Husseini, and host Norlex Belma take the stage for a hilarious stand-up performance. On Friday, Danny Artese and a trio of pro storytellers come to Hopewell for Summer Lovin’ Storytelling Night. Then, on Saturday at noon the Traveling Lantern Theater Company puts on its child-friendly stage production, My Mother, the Astronaut. Finally, on Saturday and Sunday we’re bringing back the popular rock-doc Echo in the Canyon for those who missed it in June! More info and tickets here.
