This week at Hopewell Theater, Carbon Leaf takes the stage on Thursday with their electrifying live music show. Pulling from folk, Americana, roots and rock traditions, the Virginia quintet’s lively sound features vocal harmony, acoustic & electric guitars, mandolin, fiddle, bass, drums, cello, banjo, penny whistle, pedal steel, accordion and whatever else can be placed onto the stage. On our screen this week, we open THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM, chronicling the eight-year quest of John and Molly Chester as they trade city living for 200 acres of barren farmland and a dream to harvest in harmony with nature. Hopewell locals may recognize Hopewell’s own Shawn Greenbaum who a team member of the Apricot Lane Farms featured in the film! Then, Saturday Afternoon Cartoons feature Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig, Tweety Bird, Sylvester, Daffy Duck and all the Looney Tunes gang in an animated assortment of hits that have tickled the funny bones of cartoon lovers for generations. On Tuesday, catch SAMSARA, a part of our ongoing series The Art of Living Well and the companion film to BARAKA. More info and tickets here.
