On Our Screen and Stage – Week of February 5, 2019

Storytelling, documentaries, brunch club, and so much more this week at Hopewell Theater! Tonight, be transported to the gardens of famous landscape designer Piet Oudolf in FIVE SEASONS: THE GARDENS OF PIET OUDOLF, a part of our ongoing series, The Art of Living Well. Friday night, another installment of This Really Happened…Storytelling at Hopewell Theater continues. The cast includes Anita Flores, Marc Abbott, Marjorie Fineberg Winther, Jennifer Glick and hosted by Joey Novick. Saturday morning is another Family Fun Concert with area musician Jumpin’ Jamie. Later that evening, join us for fun, surrealist-inspired art activities before a screening of SALVADOR DALI: IN SEARCH OF IMMORTALITY. Our Family and Crybaby Matinee screenings this week are extra special: Each year, CatVideoFest curates a compilation reel of the latest, best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and, of course, classic internet powerhouses.  A percentage of the proceeds from this screening will go to SAVE, A Friend to Homeless Animals in Skillman. Art lovers won’t want to miss our special double feature of LOVING VINCENT, the world’s first fully painted feature film about Vincent Van Gogh, and the short doc about the making of that film, LOVING VINCENT: THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM. More info and tickets on all of these engaging programs here.
