Digital, Print and Social Media Marketing Manager 

Full-Time with benefits working at Hopewell Theater offices in Hopewell, NJ

HT’s Digital, Print and Social Media Marketing Manager’s (DP&SM Marketing Manager) role will be to oversee the development of the company’s marketing and advertising strategy in association with HT’s Executive Director, with an emphasis on digital and social media marketing/ads, including SEO and SEM, as well as to undertake any research and staff education necessary to stay up to date on and/or implement state-of-the-art digital and social media tactics.  The DP&SM Marketing Manager will also execute the successful drafting and delivery of the theater’s yearly marketing plans, budget and schedule, undertaking its projects supported by staff whose work the DP&SM Marketing Manager will oversee, namely a Digital, Print, and Social Media Marketing Assistant and vendors as needed.  

The DP&SM Marketing Manager will also bottom line the quarterly reporting on the results of the activities of the marketing plan, including but not limited to analysis of metrics and performance versus benchmarks for all digital and social media tactics, and keep a database of those company metrics, regularly updated.  As time allows, the DP&SM Marketing Manager will cultivate community partnerships to raise awareness of the theater and its programs as well as ad swaps with local businesses.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least three+ years in a marketing management position with demonstrated experience leading a marketing team, for a company or non profit arts organization.
  • Advanced level of knowledge of digital, print and social media marketing, SEO and SEM, as well as evaluating analytics and using metrics to reach marketing goals.
  • Facebook/Instagram Marketing Ads and Analytics Certifications
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads Certifications
  • Demonstrated success increasing revenue for an arts organization using marketing and advertising.
  • Experience creating and implementing an annual marketing budget for a company or organization.
  • Experience with strategic planning, creating benchmarks for marketing and reporting on strategic marketing goals.
  • Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with team members, executive management, community partners, and vendors
  • Time management and organization skills in order to plan and execute both large and small marketing projects and initiatives

Administrative Assistant for Programming and Arts Administration

Full-Time with benefits working at Hopewell Theater offices in Hopewell, NJ

The Administrative Assistant for Programming and Arts Administration will support HT’s programming department in the successful curation, booking, production and settlement of all programs at HT, by providing administrative support to that process as well as strong coordination support to keep management on schedule.  This position is the key employee responsible for logging production details in computer systems, trafficking the booking process, and managing up to keep the department on deadline and organized.  This includes liaising with the marketing department during seasonal promotion pushes and operations as needed during production.  The Admin for Programming is a key employee whom many departments rely on as a liaison.  Position also supports the Executive Director as needed.

Required Skills & Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative or office experience, with demonstrated success handling data entry and reporting
  • Demonstrated success keeping a production or project organized and on deadline.
  • Demonstrated experience in live event contracting, and production.
  • Demonstrated experience using AV equipment and/or film projector in a public performance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proficiency in G Suite with expertise in Drive, Docs, Sheets and Forms.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize while working independently as well as contributing successfully within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated skill in staying organized and being resourceful, with a great attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple timelines and tasks. 
  • Working knowledge of AV tech for theater.
  • Ability to learn and successfully use ticketing, event management and task management softwares while following internal SOPs for each.
  • Paying attention to details that need to be fixed and fixing them to keep a project moving forward successfully.
  • Tech savvy; not afraid to learn new software or hardware for theater arts.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and climb stairs.
  • Occasional evening and weekend availability to chaperone private events and assist in production at live events, as needed.

Front of House Events Team Member

Our Events Team members are critical to Hopewell Theater business operations. Front of House Events Team Members need to be attentive to guest needs and able to work in different roles: from box office to concession attendant to usher. Once hired for this position Team Members will be assigned to respective roles per shift.

Team members will attend to Box Office sales, stock inventory, prep and serve foods at concession, assist patrons in finding seats. Team members will maintain a standard of excellence at Hopewell Theater by greeting guests, cleaning the theater, restrooms and common areas and offering guest services.

Position is an opportunity for individuals to build their leadership, business acumen and broader life skills while working in a demanding fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is required.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Available to work nights and weekends per schedule, and all recognized holiday periods and to arrive for work, as scheduled, on time. Flexibility is a MUST as Hopewell Theater’s programming and shift schedules are subject to change week by week.
  • Must be 18 plus years of age.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers in a retail environment, in person, and on phone. 
  • At least 2+ years with restaurant experience, customer service, and/or POS systems is required.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Do basic math to tender sales, make change and cash out accurately at end of shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand up to 4 hours.
  • Facility with operating computer and using technology.
  • Part-Time position – team members must be available to work 6-12 hours per week minimum.
