Hopewell Theater Purchases Former Brother’s Moon Restaurant

Hopewell Theater’s owners are proud to announce they have purchased the former Brother’s Moon restaurant at 7 West Broad Street, Hopewell, New Jersey.  The acquisition will give patrons a place to dine before a show, parking and special value-added events related to theater programming.

“We are thrilled to add a restaurant that will share the same level of artistry and intimacy of HT,” says Executive Director and theater Co-Founder, Sara Scully.  “The restaurant’s synergy with theater operations will only enhance what we can offer to the public as an arts destination.”

Hopewell Theater’s goal is to create a destination arts center by giving patrons a place to relax and enjoy a meal before or after a theater show along with entertainment related to theater programming such as meet-the-artist VIP receptions, afternoon unplugged concerts, book signings and readings.  The restaurant will also expand member benefits with perks to be enjoyed at the restaurant such as discounts and meeting space.

The ambiance and decor will pair with the theater’s interior design by sharing the same warm, and intimate atmosphere but the look will be distinctly different.

The food will connect to that ambiance.  The chef will also be in charge of reimagining and enhancing the Theater’s own dine-in concession menu as well as its occasional supper and brunch clubs.  The menu will be fresh and sourced locally wherever possible. Priority will be given to systems in the restaurant that support sustainability, reuse and reduction of plastics and disposables.

The Theater has issued an RFP and is reviewing proposals from restaurant partners who will team up to co-create and run the restaurant.  Renovations on the building will begin spring 2019. Those interested in responding to the RFP should email info@HopewellTheater.com.
