Hopewell Theater and Baxter Construction win National Association of the Remodeling Industry award for Best Commercial Interior

We are proud to announce that Hopewell Theater’s revitalization with the design-build team of Baxter Construction has been recognized by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) with a Regional Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award for Best Commercial Interior.

Hopewell Theater, prior to its revitalization, was outdated and in grave disrepair. Originally built in the 1940s, HT is now a state-of-the-art entertainment space after extensive renovations by with Baxter that ran the gamut from new roof, HVAC and electric to new theater lighting and sound technology to adding a balcony, bathrooms and entirely new custom built lobby box office and concession area. As a result and in the words of NARI’s website, “The quaint town theater is now a venue that will strengthen and expand the borough’s commerce and community.”

Last year, 2018, Hopewell Theater and the Baxter team also won the “New Good Neighbor Award” by the New Jersey Business and Industry Association for the revitalization project.

And HT’s not done yet – our revitalization vision continues to expand – the theater’s newly acquired Brothers Moon restaurant is up next for redesign! Stay tuned for more details, follow our blog or Facebook/Instagram for more news and updates on the expansion of our arts center to include the restaurant.
