Purchasing the former Brother’s Moon restaurant at 7 West Broad Street earlier this year was not a decision we came to lightly. The Brother’s Moon had been a staple in our community for nearly 20 years (not to mention the building’s prior history, but more to come on that!) and remains a beloved piece of dining nostalgia for neighbors, families, and friends.
The acquisition of this particular restaurant brings both a responsibility to make sure it remains a thriving part of our already rich culinary community, but also an opportunity to fully realize HT’s mission to create a place where patrons can meet friends and get inspired by emerging and established talent, right in the heart of Hopewell. This is a mission we take seriously. Adding the restaurant to our arts center will only expand the possibilities of what we can offer!
So where are we now? The height of summer has brought both energy and movement to our endeavor! Demo is fully ramped up and our excitement grows daily as we see more and more potential for the space. Stripping away ceilings and knocking down walls – it’s incredibly inspiring!
And, our search for the right restaurant partner goes on. We are on a full fledged quest to find the restaurateur or restaurant group who shares our values and vision for a thriving arts club hub, where folks can meet friends and get inspired. We crafted a thoughtful Request for Proposal (RFP) and it has diligently been distributed to interested culinary parties, organizations, groups, and individual chefs.
Interested in teaming up to make the restaurant happen? Know someone who might be interested? Please reach out! Please email us at info@HopewellTheater.com with any questions or to get the RFP. Be sure to up for the restaurant e-blast to stay in the restaurant update loop!
