Family Matinee: Snoopy, Come Home

Snoopy, Come Home centers upon the adventures of Charlie Brown’s pet beagle, Snoopy, and his tiny, yellow pal, Woodstock. When Snoopy’s original owner Lila is hospitalized, the two take-off to comfort her. Back home, Charlie Brown is being ribbed by his friends because of the revelation that Snoopy had a previous owner (“You’ve got a used dog, Charlie Brown!”). All of this leads up to a fateful decision for Snoopy – which owner will Snoopy choose to live with?
Family Matinee: Halloween Edition: Casper

Casper (voiced by Malachi Pearson) is a kind young ghost who peacefully haunts a mansion in Maine. When specialist James Harvey (Bill Pullman) arrives to communicate with Casper and his fellow spirits, he brings along his teenage daughter, Kat (Christina Ricci). Casper quickly falls in love with Kat, but their budding relationship is complicated not only by his transparent state, but also by his troublemaking apparition uncles and their mischievous antics.

After a gentle alien becomes stranded on Earth, it is discovered and befriended by a young boy named Elliott (Henry Thomas). Bringing the extraterrestrial into his suburban California house, Elliott introduces E.T., as the alien is dubbed, to his brother and his little sister, Gertie (Drew Barrymore), and the children decide to keep its existence a secret. Soon, however, E.T. falls ill, resulting in government intervention and a dire situation for both Elliott and the alien.

With a long and successful career in the cruise industry, Michael has been virtually everywhere and has brought back an astonishing collection of short travelogue films. These video gems become his onstage partners as he weaves a fascinating journey with projections, variety acts, and world class comedy. The show’s finale is his dazzling new OPTICAL JUGGLING ACT.
The Shadowbox Theater Presents: Tobias Turkey

The Shadowbox Theatre brings its 50 years of experience to the Hopewell Theater stage for a performance of Tobias Turkey! Tobias is the most determined baby turkey on the farm. In this Thanksgiving tale, Tobias provides children with lots of laughs and valuable lessons. You and your children will be clapping along with the Shadow Box Theatre’s expert storyteller and guitarist as they listen to this delightfully funny and wise holiday tale. Expect plenty of laughs and lessons (plus a Thanksgiving-themed sing-along) during a performance of this book-turned–puppet show.
