American Rescue Plan Funds Can Benefit NJ’s Live Venues – NJIVA’s Testimony to the Governor’s Office

New Jersey Independent Venue Association (NJIVA) and Art Pride NJ are advocating for a 70 million dollar ARP relief bill for the arts, S2800/A4233, which will dedicate American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds to our creative industries. This bill includes funding for nonprofit and for-profit arts.

The State of New Jersey Governor’s team took live testimony on the use of ARP funds on Monday, August 22. They continued to welcome more detailed written testimony. With responses from over 10% of NJ venues regarding how they are doing financially post-pandemic, NJIVA reported to the Governor’s team how these funds could help our industry.
